Vintage Cheddar Biscuits
1/2 cup softened butter
150g Wicked Vintage Cheddar finely grated
1 1/4 cups plain flour
A sprinkle of cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
In a large bowl beat the softened butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the grated Vintage cheddar until blended together.
Add the plain flour,salt and cayenne pepper,stirring until a dough forms. It will be quite dry to start off with so use your hands to bring it together and turn out onto to a floured surface and lightly knead.
Roll the dough out into a rectangular shape about 1/2 centimetre thick.
Cut into roughly 30 strips of 6x3 centimetres
Carefully place onto the baking tray and cook for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let cool completely then place in an airtight container until ready to use.
These are delicious on their own but will be a great addition to your next Dip/Cheese platter
